Welcome to Burr School Cub Scout Pack 401. We are always looking for
more boys to join the pack, and you should find answers to many
questions here. The Pack Meeting is generally the last Wednesday of
the month and visitors are welcome to drop in, but make sure and
check the
calendar for any changes. The Pack is
made up of 5 Dens, broken down by grade.
-
First graders are
Tiger Cubs and are paired up with an
adult (parent, grandparent, etc).
-
Second graders are
Wolves
-
Third graders are
Bears
-
Fourth and Fifth graders are both
Webelos, but each grade has its own den.
When a boy first joins Cub Scouts, the first rank that he earns, no
matter what grade, is the Bobcat badge. The requirements are to learn
the basics of Cub Scouting; the salute, the sign, as well the
Promise, Motto, and Law.
Cub Scout Promise
I, (name), promise to do my best
To do my duty to God and my country,
To help other people, and
To obey the Law of the Pack.
Cub Scout Motto
Do Your Best.
Law of the Pack
The Cub Scout follows Akela.
The Cub Scout helps the pack go.
The pack helps the Cub Scout grow.
The Cub Scout gives goodwill.
Each den generally meets once or twice a month for den meetings. The
meetings range from working on acheivmetns for advancement, going on
local trips, having visitors come in for a presentation. In addition
there is a monthly Pack meeting where awards are presented, dens can
present work they have done, etc.
